Senior Account Manager

POD Point are currently looking for a Senior Account Manager to join the rapidly expanding Business Development team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic “people” person, willing to travel regularly and enjoy meeting face to face with key clients. You should have extensive experience in business development, and as an account manager, responsible for high value accounts (typically £100k+ pa sales), and with large high profile customers (for example energy companies and car manufacturers).

  • Identify companies and organisations POD Point already deal with who require account management (either because of total spend or strategic importance)
  • Maintain regular dialogue with all key accounts, to ensure a good working relationship and to help recognise potential sales opportunities
  • Use client meetings and feedback to specify requirements of new products or software requested, and interface with technical team to form a quotation
  • Monitor POD Point deliverables for each account, communicate project status, timing, and change requests
  • Keep up to date with market developments, and pre-empt future requirements from key accounts
  • Proactively increase sales to key accounts, through increased volumes, product ranges, maintenance contracts or software services

Sales Manager

We are looking to expand the lively sales team with a new Sales Manager. You should have  willing to travel regularly and enjoy meeting face to face with key clients. You should have experience of long lead time (3 to 6 month) sales processes, ideally within a related industry such as infrastructure / tech / green, and to large companies. A good understanding of technical concepts and the ability to explain them to someone unfamiliar with the products is essential.

Brief overview of job:

New leads:

  • Engage in sales activity as instructed by Business Development Director
  • Construct lists of potential customers
  • Filter customers into opportunity size order
  • Provide estimates and proposals to customers
  • Convert estimates and proposals into orders

On-going customer relationship:

  • Manage the relationship with existing customers with a view to selling additional units to them
  • Talk to existing customers to understand likely future requirements

Supply Chain Manager 

POD Point are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join the Operations team. You will be based at our main London office but will be required to spend significant time at our manufacturing partner (currently Basildon).

Job summary:

  • Manufacturing scheduling and delivery:
    • Work with our Sales team to determine customer delivery  requirements
    • Complete and manage build schedules for our products
    • Interface with our manufacturing partners to ensure products are built and delivered in line with our build and shipping schedules
    • Track our manufacturers’ performance against our build schedule
    • Monitor our supply chain, including assessing stock levels of critical parts, and the future flexibility of our supply chain

Electrical and Mechanical Technician

We are seeking an electrical and mechanical technician to join our product development team and support the growth in the electric vehicle market.

You will work for our design engineers, working on prototypes, next generation products and supporting our existing products. Your work will vary between mechanical work, electrical work– You’ll need to be comfortable with a spanner, a soldering iron, and computers!

To meet our needs, you’ll need experience in:

  • Fault finding and resolution
  • Troubleshooting, Testing, Assembly & Dis-assembly of electro-mechanical devices.
  • Soldering and use of general mechanical and electronic and mechanic tools and devices.
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, wiring diagrams and parts lists.
