Many people think of electric vehicles as ‘quirky,’ but results from a pilot study conducted by British EV charging company POD Point and the Danish EV leasing specialist ChoosEV show that EVs are quickly adopted as the primary family car.

For the cash-strapped British family driving 12,000 miles a year, this could result in savings of £961 a year on fuel*. The study supplied 600 families with an electric vehicle as a second car, and recorded their mileage and electricity consumption over a 10-month period.
